Flute Recital
On Monday, February 10 I will be giving a free informal flute recital with pianist Caitlin Frasure at 6:30pm at Trinity Presbyterian Church (571 E Main St., Statesboro, GA 30461). I will be playing concert flute as well as alto, bass, and contrabass flutes and would be happy to talk afterwards and answer any questions you might have!
The Goliards: The Rose & the Nightingale
The Goliards is an ensemble featuring music and instruments from the Medieval and Renaissance Eras. I am looking forward to playing the Renaissance flute and recorder for two of their upcoming concerts!
The Goliards will perform “The Rose and the Nightingale”, a program of Trouvère love songs and motets from 13th-century France on Saturday, February 8 at 7:00 P.M. at St. Francis of the Islands Episcopal Church (590 Walthour Rd.,Savannah 31410). The program will be repeated on Sunday, February 9 at 4:00 P.M. at St. George’s Episcopal Church (15 Willow Rd., Savannah 31419).
Admission will be $20.00 but no one will be turned away. For those who arrive a half-hour early, the ensemble director, John Hillenbrand, will go over the program notes and answer any questions that audience members may have.

Flute Donations
The Savannah Area Flute Association has a program to help students in need wanting to play the flute get an instrument. If you have an old student instrument that you no longer play or need, please consider donating it to a worthy cause. While a working instrument is preferred, flutes in all conditions would be greatly appreciated! A letter for tax deduction can also be provided upon request.
Please contact us at savareaflute@gmail.com if you are interested.
